Creating more value for your business and society

Last week, all of the Adapt business groups gathered for a workshop regarding the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

There are so many problems going on in the world that sometimes it can be hard to figure out if we, as individuals, can have any kind of an impact. What is so helpful about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) is that they define 17 specific areas where improvement is necessary. Their site states it in a much clearer way defining the goals as, "a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future." These goals reach far and wide and address not only the climate crisis but solving problems like poverty and our oceans' health.

It was a great learning experience being able to hear those from Adapt, all over the world, share their thoughts about how we can improve the way we do business, both internally, and with our partners and clients. As the workshop went on, we covered small ideas, like adding compost bins to our offices, and big ideas, like finding ways to improve community food systems. No idea was too outlandish.

It has never been more important to be a part of something that helps contribute to positive growth. The time is here to stand up for what is right for today and for generations to come. As we continue to figure out which Sustainable Development Goals we will be targeting in our work as a digital agency, we will keep you updated on our progress. If you have any ideas or thoughts at all, maybe you are a biologist or even Bill Nye, please do not hesitate to message us on LinkedIn or through our contact page. We really would love to hear from you.
