Adapt Agency is a full-service digital marketing agency that helps businesses grow their online presence and is known for its entrepreneurial spirit. We encourage our employees to think like entrepreneurs and to take ownership of their work. This entrepreneurial spirit is what drives Adapt to constantly innovate and deliver results for its clients.

What is an entrepreneurial spirit?

An entrepreneurial spirit means you’re willing to think creatively, innovate often, and take risks when problem-solving. People with an entrepreneurial spirit are always looking for new opportunities, and they are not afraid to fail. Failure is inevitable, but an ability to adjust and persevere is a quality all entrepreneurs share!

What are the qualities of an entrepreneurial mindset?

Be passionate about your work. When you're passionate about what you do, it shows in your work. When you truly root for a client’s success, you're more likely to be creative and innovative.

Be a self-starter. Don't wait for someone to tell you what to do. Take initiative and look for ways to improve your work. Trust me, the whole team will thank you.

Be a good communicator. Clearly communicating your ideas to others is essential for succes. Your passion will be obvious and this can help stakeholders trust your ideas.

Be open to feedback (and even more willing to implement it!). Be willing to listen to feedback and learn from your mistakes. This will help you grow professionally and make better decisions in the future. Your team will trust you more when they know that you are willing to learn and adjust.

Be persistent and patient. Don't give up if you don't see results immediately and don't expect to see results overnight. Keep working hard, thinking creatively and implementing changes.

How can you bring an entrepreneurial spirit to work?

Be creative and innovative. AT Adapt, employees are not afraid to come up with new ideas, even if they seem crazy. We're always looking for new ways to help our clients, and we value creativity and innovation.

  • Maybe you notice that a client's website is outdated and not user-friendly. You know that this is a barrier to potential users who are looking for information about the client’s services. Instead of being silently frustrated by the website, you recommend changes to your team and to the client and use your knowledge of design and marketing to create a website that is both visually appealing and informative. The new website makes it easy for potential users to find the information they need, and it helps to increase the client’s number of leads.

Be willing to take risks. We know that not every idea is going to be a success, but we also know that you can't achieve anything without taking risks. We want our team members to take risks and learn from their mistakes.

  • Maybe you have an idea for a new product or service that you think would be a good fit for a client or the agency. You pitch your idea to the management team and they give you the green light to develop it. Whether it works as effectively as you hoped or not, it was a learning experience.

Be proactive. Don't wait for someone to tell you what to do. Take initiative and look for ways to improve our processes or help our clients.

  • Imagine you're working on a project that is going off the rails. It’s difficult to communicate with the client and deliverables are delayed. Instead of panicking, take a step back and assess the situation. Try implementing a new plan that gets the project back on track, this is the moment when a new way of working is needed most. And a successful project elevates the entire team!

Be a team player. We're all in this together, especially when working in an agency, so it's important to be supportive of your colleagues and help each other out, especially when we’re trying a new creative solution.

  • Maybe you notice see that your agency is struggling to close new clients. You come up with a new marketing campaign that is designed to generate more leads. The campaign is successful, and the agency starts to close more new clients.

At Adapt, we're always looking for new ways to improve, and we're grateful for the contributions of our team members. If you're looking for ways to bring your entrepreneurial spirit to work, be passionate about your work, be creative and innovative, be willing to take risks, and be open to feedback. If you do these things, you'll be well on your way to success.
