Here at Adapt, our core values and mission are built on Making a Difference

We already aligned our agency with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, especially 10 and 13, so when the United States Supreme Court struck down Roe v. Wade, Adapt quickly and proudly launched Maine Action for Choice in alignment with the gender equality mission of UN SDG 5.

Women’s labor accounts for $7.6 trillion—or 40% of the annual U.S. gross domestic product (GDP). Imagine the financial impact when these women can no longer choose when, or if, to have a family.

The coalition of agencies and organizations brought together through Maine Action for Choice aims to drive change through action. We collected local and national resources, information for educational workshops, and links to petitions that will help restore this fundamental human right.

And we’re not stopping there!

We’re committed to meeting all of the goals within UN SDG 5, including creating technology that promotes women's empowerment (5.b) and ensuring equal opportunities for leadership at all levels (5.5).

Today our Americas leadership team is more than 50% female, and we’ve recently tailored our hiring efforts to create more gender balance within our web development team. Speaking of, looking for work? View our open positions here.

And, if you’re in Maine and align with our mission, consider joining Maine Action for Choice. Together we can make a difference.
